For the second year the Irish Ergonomics Society has the pleasure of holding its annual conference in conjunction with the Safety in Health Systems Group. The conference will be of interest to those interested in human factors challenges and emerging approaches in healthcare. The event will also retain diverse ergonomics presentations from across the discipline during the afternoon session. The conference will include presentations from ergonomics and human factors professionals, distinguished invited keynote speakers, and health care professionals with an interest in applying human factors methods.
The call for presentations is now open. Presentations are invited under two streams:
Application to present
As a first step, it is necessary to indicate your interest in presenting at the conference by sending an email to Leonard.OSullivan@ul.ie. Please state the session you wish to present at (morning healthcare session or the afternoon general session), the author(s) names, and the title of the presentation. The deadline to register your interest in presenting is 10th of May. Final abstracts / papers are due by 10th of May.
Dates for your diary
Indication of intent to submit a paper: 10th of May
Submission of abstract/paper: 15th of May
Final abstract or paper : 22nd of May
Closing date for registration : 24th of May
Conference: 6th of June
Proceeding: Selected abstracts and papers will be reproduced in a book of proceedings titled “Irish Ergonomics Review 2019”. Proceedings will have an ISSN number and will be available internationally through the British Library.
